Books
It’s true: I love cookbooks! It’s such an honor to be part of the cookbook-writing process. I am currently co-writing a book with Lotus Foods about rice and with Sean Sherman and Elizabeth Hoover about Indigenous North American food. In addition to these books listed below, I have project managed, tested recipes, or consulted on a number of other titles. For a full list, visit my Work page.
The Chef’s Garden by Farmer Lee Jones with Kristin Donnelly
Avery Publishers, 2021
Featured in The New York Times, People magazine, The Splendid Table, and so much more, The Chef’s Garden is a 600+ page must-have resource for any cook who loves vegetables. For this project, I acted both as the writer and project manager. In addition to helping Farmer Lee Jones tell his family’s story and share his incredible expertise about vegetables, I worked with chef Jamie Simpson to refine his recipes and have them tested.
Modern potluck, author
Clarkson Potter, 2016
Featured in The New York Times, Epicurious, Better Homes and Gardens, and many more publications, my first cookbook is filled with vegetable-forward, globally-inspired recipes for serving a crowd.
Cauliflower, author
short stack editions, 2018
Volume 31 of the beloved Short Stack Editions is my ode to Cauliflower. In this little volume, I explore the incredible versatility of this cruciferous vegetable. Highlight recipes include a Buffalo Cauliflower Wedge Salad, Cauliflower Parmesan, and Bacon and Egg Cauliflower Fried Rice.
A New way to bake, project manager
Clarkson Potter, 2017
Ever wonder how to use that bag of barley flour? This excellent book from the editors at Martha Stewart has the answer to this question and many more! Along with robust sections filled with useful information, this book includes recipes that make use of the modern baking pantry, including whole-grain and gluten-free flours, and natural sugars. As the project manager for this book, I helped organize the recipes into chapters, write all of the headnotes and sidebars, and keep the project on schedule.
Great tastes, recipe consultant
Clarkson potter 2018
Every recipe should have a good story, right? That’s what the sisters behind the popular lifestyle website, The New Potato, believe. For this book, I helped sisters Danielle and Laura Kosann develop the fun and genius dishes they love to eat and serve into fleshed-out recipes.
